Exploring Topics and Sentiment in the English Version of Yassawi’s Divan-i Hikmet: A Text Mining Approach

Sufism seems to be still vital for the world nowadays. Concerning Central Asia, Hodja Ahmed Yassawi may deemed one of earliest Sufi there, and his most famous work, which contributed Islamisation Turks, is a collection wisdom called Diwan-i Hikmet. Therefore, this study attempts evaluate piece content using text mining techniques. The authors ran term frequency analysis uncover prevailing topical terms underlying along with their co-occurrence. Besides, nature emotion reflected in writing was assessed based on sentiment terms. findings from show that central concepts Hikmet are God, divine love, spiritual education, ascesis, worship God through service. Emotion-based data revealed overall affective tone has proven positive. current work adds research Islamic literature. agenda future specified.
